Chelsea is a friendly, dedicated and skilful Paediatric Occupational Therapist who has a passion for working with our children, young people and their families who are looking for support with their mental health and developmental needs. Chelsea moved to Brisbane in October 2021, relocating from Auckland NZ for new lifestyle and work challenges. Chelsea completed her Bachelors of Health Science, Occupational Therapy and her Post Graduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addictions at the Auckland University of Technology NZ. Chelsea comes with an OT background of working in a public acute Child and Adolescent Mental Health clinic in Auckland for a few years, and most recently another private Paediatric clinic in the South of Brisbane. Chelsea’s experience and passions support therapy needs including; play therapy, developmental delays, GDD, ID, ASD, ADHD, ODD, emotion dysregulation, toileting, picky eating, prep and school readiness, life transitions, anxiety, low mood and depression, self harm, risk assessment and management, DBT, CBT, developmental trauma, body image and disordered eating, OCD, BPD, mindfulness, sleep hygiene and management, and sensory modulation and integration. She has experience working in schools, homes, clinic and via Telehealth. Chelsea has creative flare to her work and is very hands on with her clients and their families to support them to grow, manage life’s bumps and challenges, and to strive towards their therapeutic goals. Chelsea is currently in the process of having her Better Access to Mental Health accreditation application processed.
