Dr Philippa McTaggart

Clinical Psychologist

Philippa has worked for more than 15 years in clinical psychology with children and families.  She enjoys working with a wide range of presenting problems, and has expertise in developing a treatment plan that is tailored to the needs of your family. She is particularly skilled in providing support for behavioural problems in children and teenagers; anxiety or sadness in children and teens; parenting challenges; and school or social concerns. Philippa worked for many years in the Parenting and Family Support Centre at the University of Queensland and she is trained and experienced in delivering the Triple P - Positive Parenting Program.  Philippa obtained her undergraduate psychology degree from Griffith University, and then completed a clinical PhD at the University of Queensland.  She has full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and their clinical college.  Philippa also provides supervision to intern psychologists at the University of Queensland, and she has accreditation within the Supervisor Training and Accreditation Program (STAP).  She is mum to 2 (mostly) delightful teenagers.
