Vicky Jebsen Educational Counsellor BA psych, Dip Teach, Dip Sch Couns, Med St, MQGCA
Vicky has qualifications in both education and counselling, including research at Masters degree level in early childhood behaviour difficulties. Vicky has both undergraduate degrees in psychology and postgraduate degrees in counselling and education, and more than twenty five years experience working with children and their families. She uses a variety of therapy techniques, ranging from Sandplay therapy to CBT and Reality Therapy. She believes that parents have a significant role in supporting and healing children who are experiencing difficulties and incorporates parenting support into her practice. Vicky offers a unique service, which crosses both the educational and emotional domains. Counselling, assessments, and educational consultancy are offered to children, parents and educational staff aiming to help children reach their potential throughout their childhood.
Jennifer Francis Clinical Psychologist BSc(Hons), MClinPsych, MAPS, Member College of Clin Psych
Jennifer has been a registered practising Psychologist since 1994 and is a member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. Jennifer has counselling experience in both the public and private sectors, has taught at universities in Queensland and NSW, and has a special interest in developmental and autistic spectrum disorders. She has a focus on supporting parents to feel confident about their skills in creating opportunities for their children and teenagers to build balanced and happy lives.
Jennifer consults to the Brisbane clinic to conduct assessments for children with suspected Autistic Spectrum Disorders (includes the ADOS assessment), and to run parent and teacher workshops on a range of topics, including ASD information, Foster care support, and adolescent intervention support.
Peter Cziwsloski Psychologist BA, BSc Hons, MEdSt Ed. Psych, Dip Teach, Dip Sch Couns Clinical Member of Queensland Assoc. of Family Therapy
Peter is a registered teacher and psychologist. He has worked for over 25 years with children and their families both within private practice and the education system. He has worked extensively in the area of behaviour management, disability and learning difficulties with children. He has a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their families, believing strongly in respect and responsibility. He believes it is his job to work with others in a “team” to notice what is working, what is not and what can be done differently. He believes people have the resources within them (courage, persistence, forgiveness …) to “stand up” to problem patterns and habits. It is important to understand the context in which a child and family lives. He works respectfully to achieve outcomes that you want.
Stefanie Selen Psychologist Bch. Psych, Post Grad Dip Psych
Stefanie is a registered psychologist. She has worked closely with children and their families both within private practice and the child protection statutory system. Stefanie has worked comprehensively in the area of child sexual abuse, adolescent suicidal ideation and trauma with children and young people, as well as Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and anxiety. She has a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their families, and places a focus on strengths based support to assist and facilitate improvement.
Theresa Ryan Psychologist BA Hons (Psychology), MAPS
Theresa is a registered Psychologist with over 16 years of experience, including 10 years of specialization in working with children, adolescents and families. Theresa has extensive experience in dealing with behavioural issues, anger and anxiety management, depression, trauma, abuse and neglect, social isolation, learning difficulties and intra-family conflict. Her therapeutic approach is specifically tailored to the needs of each family but can include interpersonal therapy, behaviour management and parenting skills education, cognitive behaviour therapy; relaxation/stress management; and expressive therapies such as sandplay therapy and art therapy. Theresa believes strongly in working in partnership with families to nurture positive attachment relationships between parents (or care-givers) and their children and to maximize the emotional health & well-being of all family members.

Peter brings to his psychology practice over 25 years experience supporting children, adolescents and adults in educational settings. His roles have included Primary teacher, Teaching Principal, Behaviour Support Teacher, Special Education Teacher and Developmental Guidance Officer. Peter has a Diploma in Teaching (Primary), a Bachelor in Educational Studies, a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology. Peter is an Associate Member of the Australian Psychological Society and is a fully registered Psychologist in Queensland. Peter believes people are the specialists in their own lives and that the role of the Mental Health Professional is to help clients to understand themselves more, without getting in the way. Peter has had considerable experience in supporting families through separation and divorce, anxiety and stress, bullying, relationship difficulties, grief, anger management, general school issues, developing resilience, coping with life changes and goal setting.
Donna Boaler Educational Therapist Dip Teach, B Ed, M Spec Ed, MAPBS
Donna is a registered teacher with over 20 years experience in the field of special education through her work in schools. The majority of Donna's teaching experience has been in the specialised area of early childhood intervention, with particular focus on, and ongoing professional development in, Autism Spectrum Disorder. The focus of her Masters degree has been in the application of intervention programs for young children experiencing developmental delays that cause difficulties in relating to their environment and are often perceived as behaviour problems. It is Donna's firm belief that delays in communication and social relation are often misinterpreted as behaviour. She is experienced at developing and maintaining individual programs in consultation with families and other professionals. Donna is committed to providing quality intervention programs that are aimed towards full inclusive educational opportunities.
Jo Woodhead Speech Language Pathologist BSpPath
Jo has more than 10 years experience working with children with special needs in communication in educational settings. She has also worked in early intervention settings with very young children and has a special interest in working with children who experience developmental delay, Autistic spectrum disorders, and speech delay. She has also worked with children and youth with speech, language and literacy difficulties within the primary school and secondary school settings as well as within private practice.
Consortium Members
Danielle Werda Speech Pathology is a small private practice who work in conjunction with All About Kids to provide a high level of client care. Both therapists, Danielle Werda and Dayna Stephenson have strong paediatric backgrounds and experience in working with children with a variety of communication difficulties. As an All About Kids Consortium member, Danielle Werda Speech Pathology works in close conjunction with Educational Psychologists, Counsellors and Occupational Therapists to provide a holistic approach to the therapeutic management of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Danielle Werda Since graduating from the University of Sydney, Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology), Danielle has worked in a variety of paediatric allied health settings including Early Childhood Development Units, Community Health, Educational Settings and Private Practice. In many situations, Danielle has been the key person involved in planning and executing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and the management of a variety of speech and language disorders.
Dayna Stephenson Dayna graduated from the University of Queensland, Bachelor of Speech Pathology with First Class Honours in 2003. Dayna has spent many years working in private practice. During this time, she has developed a special interest in the areas of literacy, voice, fluency, articulation, late talkers and has worked closely with families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.
Sylvana Spina Occupational Therapy: Sylvana has been an OT for more than 15 years. She has extensive experience working with children and their families. She has worked in Brisbane in Special Schools and Special Development Education Units, Child Youth and Family Programs in community health and private organisations. She also worked in New York in schools, home visiting programs and at United Cerebral Palsy. She returned to Australia to work in work in partnership with a Social Worker providing services to children with a disability and their families. For the past six years, Sylvana has continued in her private practice work while completing a PhD at the University of Queensland in the Departments of Occupational Therapy and Paediatrics and Child Health. Her thesis has involved research with children and families at paediatric rehabilitation services at the Royal Children's and Mater Children's Hospitals. She has always thoroughly enjoyed and valued working with families and children, and with services or centres (such as schools, teachers, allied health, GPs) involved with caring, educating and working with children and their parents and families. Sylvana has worked with the team at All About Kids for a number of years and as part of the All About Kids Consortium is able to offer a specialised service for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.
